Zen Horseplay is a double-sided slab of weirdly catchy experimental noise. It's your one-stop-shop for harsh hypnotic DIY meditations, thundering eruptions of dayglo outsider artrock, and really excellent track titles.

The first half of Zen Horsplay features, amongst the audio detritus:

- Jagged, distorted drone
- Swirling, churning feedback
- Shards of almost-melody rising and dropping away, reverb-drenched and echoing, valiantly attempting to resurface even as they’re pushed back under by the malevolent screeching sonics
- Howling squeals and distant rumblings
- Electronoise interpolations
- Rolling avalanches of static and hissing white noise evolving into primitive pulsing call and response
- Bathroom vocalisations
- Demented noise-smeared distorto-idiot bluespunk

The zen half of Zen Horseplay, Kodrix's recordings were driven by curiosity and a couple of new pedals - the Boss GT-1 and the Boss DD-8.

A rollicking release, these tracks answer questions like:

- How much delay and distortion does it take to make the kalimba sound like a gateway to hell?
- Do you really need a modular synth or can you just use an 8 channel mixer?
- What do they call the plastic air bubbly thing they shipped that glass jar of pickled garlic in?
